June 20 to July 15 in the Art of Emotions Fine Art Gallery and Online
Our call for entry for the Art of Emotion’s Spring Exhibition is now open until June 18, 2022.

Exhibition Dates: June 20 to July 15, 2022
Submission Deadline: June 18, 2022
Results Notification by Email: starting June 12, 2022
Maximum number of artworks an artist may submit: 3
Entry Fee: $15 per artwork
Delivery of Accepted Work: June 17 (9 am – 12 pm) and June 18 (10 am-2pm)
Pick Up of Work: July 15, Friday (5-7) or July 16, Saturday (10-2)
Guidelines Specific to this Exhibition
Subject: This show art is about Latin culture and will be part of Salsa in Toronto festival.
Style: Paintings of all styles are permitted.
Size: Artworks may be no larger than 48″ tall or 48″ wide framed.
Acceptable Media: Paintings in acrylic, encaustics, graphite, ink, mixed media, oil, pastel, pencil, water media. We will ask artists to also indicate the support as well as the medium they are used, e.g., acrylic on canvas, oil on aluminum panel.
Excluded Media: Sculpture, photography, digital photography, digital prints, digital art, posters, pyrography, giclee, mechanical reproductions, collages with different materials glued to a surface, and works that rely heavily on mechanical reproductions are not permitted.
Presentation: All artwork must be ready to hang (in the event of a sale). While framed artwork is preferred, unframed work on cradled wood panel or stretched canvas are permitted so long as the following conditions are met:
- Edges of works on cradled wood panel must be completely void of paint, or completely covered in a complementary colour, or be a continuation of the artwork.
- Edges of work on gallery wrapped canvas can be either a complimentary colour or a continuation of the artwork. Raw canvas edges are not permitted. Staples must be on the back of gallery-wrapped canvases.
Pricing: All artworks must be available for sale.
Sales: Artwork must be available for sale throughout the entire period of the exhibition. If a sale is made artists will be informed by phone or email. By submitting their artwork to this call the artist agrees to allow the Art of Emotions Fine Art Gallery to negotiate a sale on their behalf including up to 10% off of the artist’s submitted sale price. In addition, the Art of Emotions Fine Art Gallery will collect a commission at a rate of $50 or 35%, whichever is greater. Payment to artists will be made by e-transfer. It is a responsibility of the artist to deliver/mail the sold work to the gallery if sold in order to provide it to the customer who purchased it.
Terms and Conditions of Entry
The Exhibition is open to all artists anywhere creating original artwork in 2-dimensional media.
Entries must not be copies or derivatives based in any way on other copyrighted or published paintings, photographs or other artistic work.
Art must be entirely the work of the entrant, executed without the supervision of an instructor, and within 3 years of the entry deadline.
The artist by submission grants the Art of Emotions gallery the right to display the selected image(s) in the gallery and in an online exhibition, plus the right to use the digital image(s) for publicity or educational purposes.
